As most of you know, the Lighthouse is a ministry of the Uptown Church. It has been for nearly twenty years. There was quite the buzz recently because many Lighthouse volunteers worked very hard to make it financially sustainable as its own independent not-for-profit ministry. Unfortunately, we did not find other local churches to come alongside us as sustainable pillars of financial and ministerial support. So at this time, the Lighthouse is not in a position to be its own parachurch ministry. The great news is that the Lighthouse will continue to be a ministry of the Uptown Church, and we look forward to growing the Lighthouse into a sustainable ministry for the glory of God as He leads. We will continue to serve, love, and disciple the vibrant community that has grown here over the past two decades. We are committed to nourishing the body and soul through food and Scripture. A short devotional over a warm meal and fellowship is a wonderful way to water the Word implanted in our hearts. God is good, and He is faithful.
Krista Taylor was a beloved employee of the Uptown Church. Recently, the church has accepted Krista's resignation, and we are sad to see her go. Her motherly affection has proven instrumental in fostering fellowship and a family environment in the Lighthouse. She has done a wonderful work for the Lord! We trust that God will use her talents for His Kingdom anywhere she goes and bless her future endeavours.

How to Help
